A Record-Breaking Year: 2005 Wine Auctions Exceed $166 Million

Commercial auction houses set a new record in 2005, exceeding $166 million in worldwide sales of fine and rare wines, according to figures just released by the major auction houses. This represents a 31 percent increase from 2004 levels.
