
< Chablis vintner Michel Laroche has become the latest French winemaker to invest in South Africa, purchasing L'Avenir winery from Mark Wiehe this fall. Laroche partnered with the AXA Private Equity group, but he holds a majority stake in the Stellenbosch estate.
