
With the 2003 vintage, the Southern Rhône is back on track, continuing the superb run that started with the 1998 vintage and that has been interrupted only by the poor 2002. Meanwhile the Northern Rhône sits on a powder keg of quality—the wines will be expensive and in short supply, but excellence has its price.
