Auction Index Continues to Rise in 2005

The Wine Spectator Auction Index continued its upward climb through the first half of 2005, marking a 6.84 percent increase over the fourth quarter of 2004 to stand at 207.84. Leading the pack were the Piedmont listings, which rose 32 percent, and Vintage Port, which increased 16 percent.
