Demand Sluggish for 2004 Bordeaux

Unexceptional quality and a weak dollar contribute to a restrained market

Several months into the sale season for 2004 Bordeaux futures, leading American wine retailers reported that sales were better than expected, but nowhere near the frenzied levels seen for the 2003 and 2000 vintages.
