Just about everything that smacked of rarity commanded a premium at the spring sales, much to the dismay of bargain hunters. At Zachys, more than half of the auction was devoted to a massive 1,222-lot consignment from the pristine collection of Frank and Mary Wall Komorowski, which sold for more than $2 million.
