I spent a week in France this past March visiting a dozen of the top domaines in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the premier appellation of the Southern Rhône Valley, to taste the red and white wines of 2003. The vintage shows outstanding potential, and the top wines promise to become benchmarks for the region.
