
This year, consumers will see anywhere from three to six new subappellations on Oregon wine labels. Depending on who's talking, these new American Viticultural Area designations in the Willamette Valley are either a great idea, helping to define the wines of the region, or a lousy idea, fooling consumers into spending more.
