Austrian vintner's patience is rewarded in 2003 with Riesling and Grüner Veltliner
Austria's 2003 vintage was marked by extreme summer heat, a trait it shared with much of the rest of Europe's prime grapegrowing regions. Fortunately, however, this primarily white wine—growing nation fared better than many of its neighbors, producing a mostly successful vintage.
