For those who love the elegant white wines of Alsace, two stellar vintages, 2002 and 2001, are currently available in wine shops and on restaurant wine lists. I particularly recommend the dry-style wines from 2002 and the late-harvest wines—vendanges tardives and sélections des grains nobles—from 2001.
