Syrah and blends thereof lead the way with more than 300 reviews, including more than 200 wines from 2002 (we expect to taste another 100 or more this year). Syrah's most impressive showing came from wines made in Napa Valley, including the Spring Mountain and Mount Veeder appellations, and Sonoma County, which takes in Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast.
