Californians have until 2012 to enjoy foie gras. As of that year, the delicacy's production and sale will be banned in their state, unless a new method of producing it is found. This fall, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill that prohibits the force-feeding of ducks and geese to enlarge their livers.
