Montelena Battles "Cellar Funk"
TCA taint in prominent Napa winery forces a renovation

Chateau Montelena has undertaken a major renovation of its cellar after discovering that the winery and its wines have been contaminated by TCA (2,4,6-trichloroanisole), a chemical compound responsible for the off flavors in corky wines.
