Rotisserie for Beef & Bird, a Houston steak house that held Wine Spectator's Grand Award since 1988, closed its doors in late May, after more than 25 years in business. Owner Joe Mannke wanted to spend more time focusing on his more casual Bistro Le Cep, also in Houston, as well as write a book and travel, said longtime sommelier Vince Baker.
