I am constantly amazed at otherwise savvy travelers who, when told I'm going to Houston to eat around town, ask, "Oh, you mean Tex-Mex and barbecue?" "Yep," I drawl, "along with great steaks and an ever-expanding wine list at Pappas Bros.
