When Charles Ramseyer was growing up and learning to cook professionally in Switzerland, little did he expect that he would find a home in a Seattle fish house that started out as a bait shop. In 1945, Ray Lichtenberger opened a modest coffee shop next to his boat rental and bait shack on Puget Sound.
