The Heat Is On

An endless variety of hot sauces can spice up any dish

When Chip Hearn started selling hot sauces a dozen years ago, his portfolio consisted of 15 to 20 sauces. Today, his Peppers.com company in Rehoboth Beach, Del., offers about 2,000 for sale, and he hopes his personal collection of more than 7,000 hot sauces will land him in the Guinness Book of World Records.
