The northwest edge of Santa Rosa, in California's Sonoma County, is a place where humdrum warehouses, suburbia and barren fields intermingle. It isn't a place that possesses wine-country ambience. But for a new generation of boutique wineries that make this unlikely place their home, there's romance enough in the bottle.
