Rhône on the Rise
Once values at auction, Rhône wines now raise paddles like Bordeaux and Burgundy
When Wine Spectator began tracking Manhattan's newly legalized wine auctions in 1995, Rhône reds were considered one of the best buys in the salesroom. Highly appreciated but largely undervalued, they were eclipsed by first-growth Bordeaux and premium Burgundies.
