Tuscany's Altesino winery, whose single-vineyard Montosoli Brunello di Montalcino is among Italy's top reds, was sold in January to Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini for an estimated $25 million. Angelini, a member of a prominent Italian family in the pharmaceutical industry, already owns a well-known Brunello estate, Caparzo.
