Is the wine in magnum bottles exactly the same as that in standard bottles?

Dear Stan,
Relax, the wine in magnums is the same as in standard bottles (which is the same as in splits, or half-bottles). Some producers will bottle magnums because wine is thought to age more slowly in larger bottles. Add this to the fact that fewer magnums are produced, and they tend to be highly collectible.
