Dear Dr. Vinny,
How is Piper-Heidsieck pronounced correctly? I have heard different “correct” answers already.

Dear Michal,
I went straight to the source, and apparently it’s a common question with two answers. Most people from France, Belgium and Germany pronounce the name of this famous Champagne house as “PEEP-ur HIDE-seek,” while people from the rest of the world, including English speakers, often say “PIPE-ur HIDE-seek.” Both are acceptable.
