Editorial Assistant, New York Office

Wine Spectator seeks an editorial assistant. This is an entry-level position, reporting to executive editor Thomas Matthews. The duties are essentially clerical and administrative, but with experience and initiative will include researching and writing on both the print and digital arms of the publications. Candidates should have experience in journalism and a passion for wine, demonstrated through their education or in the workplace. Enthusiasm, attention to detail, communication skills and a strong work ethic are fundamental prerequisites. Position is based in New York City; no exceptions. Assistant Tasting Coordinator, New York Office

Passionate about wine? Wine Spectator seeks a highly motivated wine lover for an entry-level position in its New York tasting department.

Responsibilities include:

  • Data entry of wine samples and wine auction results
  • Handling wine, researching pricing, managing our wine room
  • Setting up tastings
  • Buying Guide production

What we are looking for:

  • Wine industry or restaurant experience
  • Computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, Filemaker Pro)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
