Thick and powerful, with a wall of cocoa and toast hiding the core of black cherry and black currant fruit. Rich, muscular finish is pounded home by tannins, but this has the stuffing to offset it. Just needs a little time. Grenache, Syrah and Carignane. —James Molesworth
