Thank God for fog. We all enjoyed waking up to fog a couple of weeks ago. It was exactly the type of weather we needed. The grapes have enjoyed an extended period of cool to mild temperatures that has realigned the flavors and sugars.

Most of the Zinfandel has been harvested and the trend of low yields and extremely high quality has continued. This next week is looking to be mild and everyone will be picking like crazy. We’re hoping for a nice last stretch through October and wish everyone good luck with the end of their harvest.
