Recently, senior tasting coordinator Alison Napjus and I met with Richard Geoffroy, the scholarly chef de cave of Moët & Chandon's Dom Pérignon. While it's always a pleasure to catch up with Geoffroy and hear his insights on the growing season and the state of Champagne, this occasion had a more singular purpose: A preview of the Cuvée Dom Pérignon 2003. We also tasted the 2002 cuvée, the Brut Champagne Cuvée Dom Pérignon Oenothèque 1996 and the DP Rosé 2000. Here are my notes.
