Champagne’s Bubble Temporarily Burst

While the Champenois had reason to celebrate the 2008 harvest , which looks very promising in terms of quality, the year was not kind to sales of bubbly. Shipments to the United States decreased nearly 21 percent from 2007, to a little more than 17 million bottles.
