Collecting Q&A: Wine in Cases
Peter D. Meltzer
Posted: Wednesday, January 30, 2008
Q. I have 20 wooden cases of French wine, and should wait till 2009 to 2013 to drink them. Should I leave them in their case till they're ready to drink or put them in the rack? – Danny
A: Just in case you ever decide to sell your wine, you should know that wines stored in their original wooden case tend to sell for more at auction than wines that have been racked.
