Comment: Pretentions of serving Southern Food, but servings were far from southern style. Halibut cooked in bacon grease was not a pleasing combination. Squab was rendered to a sausage-like roll, tastey to be sure but small in porportion. Cucumber soup was a favorite and the pecan pie would indeed be reconizable in on a southern dinner table. Attentive Service, but English is a second language to many, so it was hard to understand.

Comment: This could well be our all time favorite restaurant in DC. Every time I go back to the city, I always try and find time for this little jewel. Food is marvelous, and the wine list is quite good. No wonder Robert Parker listed this as one of his favorites.
