Comment: We had a fantastic meal there this past weekend. Having a Mexican restaurant with 1300+ selections on the wine list seems a bit out of place but Salpicon pulls it off!
The wine world is very well represented with great wines at every price point. We selected Allegrini La Grola 1999 (at $40 it was a steal!) The wine was perfect with the lamb chops, duck, and pork tenderloin ordered by our party.
The only downside is that the fantastic margaritas could possibly dull your palate (and your senses!)
The service was fantastic, the small dining room well laid out and the overall experience was just delightful.

Comment: This is the best authentic mexican cuisine in Chicago. I prefer Salpicon over Topolobambo and Frontera Grill. The wife and husband duo that run this restaurant maintain one of the best wine lists I have ever seen in a Mexican restaurant. Wide variety of regions, grapes, and well-priced wines. I recommend Salpicon everyone!
