Xikar Exotic Wood Cutters

Posted: Monday, April 16, 2007

By David Savona

The Xikar Exotic Wood Collection is finally being shipped to market. The line of elegant cutters was supposed to be on sale last fall, but delays in sourcing the rare woods used to make the handles of the cutters moved back their release date.

The cutters come in three wood styles: cocobolo, amboina and bocote. They are used quite frequently as veneers in the humidor business, and Xikar also is selling matching humidors created by humidor maker Don Salvatore. Each cutter retails for $99, a $20 premium over other Xikar cutters made without the exotic woods.
