Xikar Cigar Cases

Posted: Tuesday, April 05, 2005

By Michael Moretti

Xikar has been known in the cigar industry for its innovations in the world of cigar cutters and knives. This year, the Kansas City, Missouri, company is broadening its scope of products with a new line of leather-bound accessories.

Of particular interest to lovers of the leaf is a cigar case. Building off its notoriety in metalwork, Xikar has outfitted the pieces with stainless steel tips. The metallic edges lend a sleek style that contrasts with the dark leather construction and white-thread trim, not to mention added cap and foot protection from the occasional case fumble and travel jostle. The lining is crafted in cedar and covers the entire inside of the case, including the bottom and top. Slide the two pieces together for temporary storage of cigars while you're on the go. The case, which fits nicely into the breast pocket of a suit, retails for $49.95.

Other products in the line include a bifold wallet and a valet-style key chain, each of which sports the same design motif as the cigar case. The company plans to expand the line even further with the release of more cigar accessories at the Retail Tobacco Dealers of America convention in August. Xikar products can be found at more than 3,000 dealers worldwide. For more information, call 1-888-266-1193.
